HOW IT'S MADE

  • The picture is 320×180 pixel art. Every frame is redrawn from nothing but the song's playback time t, then scaled up to fit your screen.
  • 48 scenes. Each lyric line is a parody of a different kind of game (virtual pet, role-playing game (RPG) battle, falling-block puzzle, Pong…).
  • Every chorus levels up the P(DOOM) meter, until it maxes out at the end.
  • The same code, run frame by frame in headless Chrome, also made an MP4 video file.
  • Claude directed it and wrote the engine and some of the scenes; eight Claude agents drew the rest in parallel.
